Area Woman Injured in Winslow Township Crash

WINSLOW TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Police say an area woman was injured in a crash that occurred in Winslow Township late last week.

According to DuBois-based State Police, the accident happened around 7:27 a.m. on April 1, a one-vehicle crash occurred on State Route 950/Reynoldsville Falls Creek Road, in Winslow Township, Jefferson County.

Police say 23-year-old Haley A. Woodward, of DuBois, was operating a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee, traveling south on State Route 950 when she lost control of the vehicle on the snow-covered roadway. The vehicle then went onto the southbound berm, struck an embankment, and overturned onto its roof. It came to a final rest on its roof in the southbound lane facing north.

Woodward was wearing a seatbelt. Police say she was taken to Penn Highlands DuBois by private vehicle for treatment of suspected minor injuries.

Reynoldsville Volunteer Fire Department, Reynoldsville Ambulance, and Jewell’s Towing also assisted at the scene.

Police say Woodward was cited for a speed violation.
