Barbara Ann (Morgart) Kessler, 79, of Brookville, PA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at home while surrounded by her family.
She was born in Wilkinsburg, PA, on December 30, 1943, to the late Curtis R. and Margaret (Pennel) Morgart.
Barbara graduated in 1962 from the Bedford Area High School in Bedford, PA.
She then went on to college to earn an Associate Degree in Nursing.
She married her true love, Mark William Kessler, Jr., on April 17, 1965, at the Rainsburg Lutheran Church in Rainsburg, PA., he survives.
Barbara was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Brookville, PA.
She was a maternity nurse at the Brookville Hospital, Brookville, PA, retiring with over forty years in nursing.
Over the years, she would volunteer to help with the local Blood Bank.
Barbara had many different interests, some included cooking for her family and going golfing.
She traveled with her family to many different countries and places all over the United States.
Above all, her husband and family were the center of her life.
Barbara was very proud of her children and grandchildren who meant the world to her.
She cherished all the time they spent together.
In addition to her loving husband Mark, Barbara is survived by two sons; Mark William Kessler III of Wilmington, North Carolina, and Scot Curtis (Lee Ann) Kessler of Warwick, Maryland; two grandchildren, Julia Ann Kessler of Middleton, Delaware, and Jared Scot Kessler of Dayton, Ohio.
In addition to her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by two sisters; Mary Jane Morgart and Janet Morgart.
At the wishes of Barbara and her family, all funeral services will be held privately and have been entrusted to the Carrier Funeral Home, 2834 Maplevale Road, Brookville, PA 15825.
Memorial contributions may be made in Barbara’s name to the Grace Lutheran Church, 160 Franklin Avenue, Brookville, PA 15825.
