Betty Elaine Smith Wolfe, 91, of St. Andrews Village in Indiana, PA, formerly of Worthville died on Tuesday, November 24, 2015.
Betty was born June 30, 1924, in Oliver Twp. Jefferson County, PA. She was the daughter of the late Samual Howard Smith and Katherine Eshbaugh Smith.
She was married to Paul B. Wolfe in Richardsville, he preceded her in death. She was employed at Hawthorn Manufacturing.
Betty is survived by a son; Jerry “Cindy” Hoch of Penn Run, PA.; two daughters, Shirley “Douglas” Salsgiver of Elm City, NC, and Judy Groom of Creekside, PA.: a daughter-in-law, Laura Wolfe of St. Louis, Michigan; two sisters, Anna Stankiewicz of Monroeville, PA. and Mary A. Little of Creekside, PA.; seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents and husband, Betty was preceded in death by a son, Donald Eugene Wolfe; a great-granddaughter, Abby Fachting; four sisters, Hazel Hoch, Sarah Duck, Ida Hoch, and Leah Kerner; and two brothers, Grover Smith, and Russell Smith
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 27, 2015 from 10am until 12pm at Furlong Funeral Home, Gregory K. Furlong FD, corner of Broad St. and First Ave., Summerville. Services will follow at 12pm at the funeral home with Paster Deb Gilson officiating. Interment will take place in Worthville Cemetery, Oliver Twp. Jefferson County, PA.
