Betty I. Lucas

Betty I. Lucas, of New Bethlehem, died early Saturday morning, March 14, 2015 at McKinley Health Center in Brookville.

Born April 1, 1931 in Brookville, she was the daughter of Walter Roy and Esther Luella (Latshaw) Bowersox. She was married to Kenneth L. Lucas, and he preceded her in death.

Betty worked at Boarts Auto Parts, from the time she graduated from High School until her retirement. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in New Bethlehem and a member of the New Bethlehem Fire Department Ladies Auxilliary.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

In addition to her parents, and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, William E. Bowersox.

Friends will be received Monday, March 16, 2015 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn.

Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. with Pastor Jodie Smith officiating.

Interment will be in the Salem Cemetery, Frogtown.
