UPDATE: I-80 Eastbound Reopened After Tractor-Trailer Fire Near Exit 70 in Clarion County

STRATTANVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – A portion of Interstate 80 in Clarion County has reopened after it was closed due to a vehicle fire.

According to PennDOT Community Relations Coordinator Tina Gibbs, a tractor trailer fire resulted in the closure of I-80 Eastbound between Exit 70 (US 322 – Strattanville) and Exit 73 ( PA 949 – Corsica).

The scene was cleared and the roadway was reopened around 1:45 p.m.

Clarion County 9-1-1 said the report was called in around 9:59 a.m. on Wednesday, March 13.

Clarion Fire & Hose Company No. 1, Corsica Fire Department, and Clarion-based State Police.

Dispatch declined to answer any further questions.
