Jefferson County Man Killed After Motorcycle Collides with Car

BRADY TWP., Pa. (EYT) – A Jefferson County man was killed Thursday afternoon when his motorcycle crossed over the center line and collided with an oncoming car on Route 219 in Brady Township, Clearfield County.

DuBois-based State Police Tpr. Anderson said the accident happened around 2:23 p.m. on Carson Hill Road (Route 219) just south of its intersection with Ace Valley Road.

Tpr. Anderson said John A. Weber, 77, of Reynoldsville, was traveling south on Carson Hill Road and negotiating a right turn when his 2002 Honda Silver Wing crossed over the double yellow line and struck the driver side of a northbound 2002 Pontiac Grand Am operated by James V. Will, 46, of DuBois.

Weber was thrown from his motorcycle as a result of the collision. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Clearfield County Coroner Kim Shaffer-Snyder.

Will was transported to Penn Highlands-DuBois for treatment of moderate injuries.

DuBois EMS, Brady Township Volunteer Fire Department, and PennDOT assisted at the scene.
