PUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. (EYT) – The Pennsylvania State Police have issued a warning following four drug overdoses in the area within the last 48 hours.

Four overdoses have occurred within the Clearfield and Clarion County areas; three were in Clearfield County and one in Forest County.

One overdose resulted in death, and three individuals were revived.

These overdoses are the result of suspected fentanyl being sold as heroin or as an additive to heroin. This information is being released in an attempt to stop future overdoses.

State police are making the public, as well as the drug user, aware that our area is being flooded with a deadly cocktail that will cause an overdose which will most likely lead to death.

Stamp baggies titled Red Beetle and Blue Thumbs Up were associated with the recent overdoses, but others are likely to be discovered.

If anyone has information regarding the source of these and/or other dangerous drugs, please contact your local police department.
