Brockway Teen Slams Vehicle into Tree in Knox Township

KNOX TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Police say a Brockway teen lost control of his vehicle and slammed into a tree on Knox Dale Road on Saturday evening.

According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, the crash occurred around 8:22 p.m. on Saturday, September 25, on Knox Dale Road, in Knox Township, Jefferson County.

Police say 18-year-old Gannon M. Kesterholt, of Brockway, was operating a 2008 Ford Ranger traveling south on Knox Dale Road and reportedly traveling too fast for conditions going around a right curve in the roadway when he lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle then traveled off the eastern berm and struck a tree.

Kesterholt was not using a seat belt; however, he was not injured in the crash.

Zimmerman’s Towing also assisted at the scene.

Kesterholt was cited for a speed violation.
