A moving ambulance on it''s way to a crash site.SANDY TWP., Pa. (EYT) – DuBois-based State Police say a one-car accident occurred yesterday on Interstate 80 West, west of Clear Run Road, in Sandy Township, Clearfield County.

According to police, around 11:40 a.m. on December 11, 56-year-old Lisa A. Cruz, of Brockway, was traveling westbound and negotiating a left curve in the roadway after passing a vehicle. Cruz attempted to cross back into the right lane, and her 2004 Oldsmobile Alero made contact with the right rumble strip.

Police say Cruz “became startled and over compensated in an attempt to get back into her travel lane.” The rear end of the car began to swerve erratically and traveled off the north side of the road. The car struck an embankment and subsequently rolled several times before coming to a final rest on the northern shoulder of the roadway.

Cruz suffered moderate injuries. DuBois EMS transported her to Penn Highlands Hospital.

She was using a seat belt.

She was charged with a traffic violation.

The car was towed from the scene.
