BROOKVILLE, Pa. – Brookville Area Chamber of Commerce and Matson Co. will host a Family Bicycle Ride and Poker Run on October 9, along the Redbank Valley Trail in Brookville, Pa.
Participants can build their best poker hand by visiting the five checkpoints to the finish at the Summerville trail head. The best hand takes the top prize.
The family ride is a leisure ride along a seven-mile stretch of the Redbank Valley Trail. There will also be fun for the kids along the trail.
The event ends at Summerville with hot dogs and beverages.
Registration will be held from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Depot Street Spur, located off of White Street (across from Giant Eagle and below Brookville Lumber).
The cost of registration is $15 in advance and $20 the day of the event for adults 18 and over. Registration entitles the participant to refreshments at the end of the ride, a backpack, and one hand of poker.
In order to receive a participant backpack, you must have your registration in by September 19, 2016. A prize will be awarded for the top poker hand.
Anyone under 18 can participate for free but must register and be supervised by an adult.
