Brookville Hires New Code Enforcement Officer

BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – Brookville Borough has a new code enforcement officer.

Council held an executive session after its regular meeting Tuesday and voted to approve hiring Donald Jonischek as the new code enforcement officer. He will be paid $15.00 per hour with his hours not to exceed 20 per week.

Also, council member Dave Ferringer, who is acting as the code enforcement officer, said he had tagged 31 residences in the borough for letting the grass in their yards get too long.

“I have seen some yards being cut, too,” Ferringer said.

The next borough meeting will be at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 5.
