Brookville Man Arrested for Alleged DUI, Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle

BEAVER TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – According to Clarion-based State Police, a Brookville man has been arrested on multiple charges – including DUI and Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle – following an incident that occurred around 6:35 a.m. on March 25, in Beaver Township, Jefferson County.

Police say the incident occurred when a known 53-year-old Brookville man was found on a road near Shannondale behind the wheel of a vehicle he was supposed to be repairing at a shop in Brookville.

The vehicle belongs to a known DuBois man.

The suspect was taken into custody on the suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

He was then transported to PSP Clarion for processing and was remanded to the Jefferson County Jail on a probation violation warrant.

According to police, the suspect is facing the following charges:

– Unauthorized use of automobiles and other vehicles, Misdemeanor 2
– Driving under the influence of Alcohol or Controlled Substance 2nd Offense, Misdemeanor
– Driving while operating privilege is suspended or revoked (DUI related), Summary
– Driving without a license, Summary
– Use of dealer registration plates, Summary

The name of the suspect was not released.
