BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – Brookville Borough Police say a local man was arrested after being caught hiding behind a couch in someone else’s home.
According to police, a 26-year-old Brookville man is being charged with burglary and related offenses following an incident that occurred on Monday, February 17.
Police say the man broke into a victim’s home in Brookville through a basement door, and the victim then returned home and found the man hiding behind a couch.
According to police, “there was no further incident and this is believed to be an isolated event.”
The name of the man involved has not been released.
The man was lodged in the Jefferson County Jail, and charges are pending through District Court 54-3-03.
