Brookville Man Caught With Large Quantity of Marijuana Waives Hearing

JEFFERSON CO., Pa. (EYT) – A Brookville man who was caught in possession of a large quantity of marijuana along with other drugs and drug paraphernalia waived his hearing in court on Tuesday.

Court documents indicate the following charges against 22-year-old Corey Ivan Geer were waived for court on April 8:

– Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver, Felony (seven counts)
– Use/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Misdemeanor (25 counts)
– Possession of Controlled Substance, Misdemeanor (three counts)

The charges have been transferred to the Jefferson County Court of Common Pleas.

Geer remains lodged in the Jefferson County Jail on $10,000.00 monetary bail.

The charges stem from a discovery made at a residence in Knox Township in late December 2020.

Details of the case:

According to a criminal complaint, on December 22, Punxsutawney-based State Police were assisting Pennsylvania State Parole and Jefferson County Probation when they discovered drugs and drug paraphernalia at a residence on Ramsaytown Road in Knox Township, Jefferson County.

The complaint states the items were discovered in a trailer where Corey Geer and James McCullough resided.

Items found and seized included multiple baggies of processed marijuana weighing a total of 117.1 grams along with Hydrocodone and Gabapentin pills without prescription bottles, a small amount of suspected cocaine, $91.00 in small bills, a hookah, bongs, scales, butane lighters, smoking pipes, hundreds of printed/stamped baggies, and a roll of sandwich baggies.

The charges were filed against Geer and 28-year-old James Michael McCullough, also of Brookville, through Magisterial District Judge Gregory M Bazylak’s office on January 13.

Court documents indicate the following charges against 28-year-old James Michael McCullough were waived for court on March 2:

– Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver, Felony (seven counts)
– Use/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Misdemeanor (eight counts)

His case is continuing to make its way through the Jefferson County Court of Common Pleas.

McCullough remains lodged in the Jefferson County Jail on $20,000.00 monetary bail.
