Brookville Man Charged with Felony Aggravated Assault After Spitting on Corrections Officers

arrestedPINECREEK TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) –A Brookville man is facing charges after he allegedly spit on corrections officers at the Jefferson County Jail.

According to a criminal complaint, Robert Joseph Milhomme, 29, of Brookville, allegedly spit on a corrections officer around 11:00 a.m. on August 25 after calling the officer over to his cell, with the spit landing on the right side of the officer’s face and shirt.

Around 4:00 p.m. on August 27, Milhomme allegedly spit on another officer who was escorting another inmate by Milhomme’s cell, and the spit landed on the left side of the officer’s neck and cheek area, the complaint states.

Milhomme allegedly admitted spitting on both corrections officers, “so he would be arrested and then be sent to state prison,” the complaint indicates.

According to court documents, Milhomme is charged with two counts each of first-degree felony aggravated assault and second-degree misdemeanor simple assault.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on October 8 in front of Magisterial District Judge Gregory M Bazylak.
