Brookville Man Convicted Of Attempted Homicide For 2014 Baseball Bat Attack On Wife

gavelBROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) –A Brookville man has been convicted of attempted homicide one year after he used a baseball bat to attack his wife.

According to online court documents, a jury found Donald Guy Shaffer, 65, of Brookville, guilty August 11 of criminal attempt at murder of the first degree.

The jury also found Shaffer guilty of two felony counts aggravated assault, two counts of second-degree misdemeanor simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, and summary harassment by subjecting another to physical contact.

The charges stem from an incident in which Shaffer attacked his wife with a baseball bat on August 8, 2014.
