Brookville Man Sentenced For Aggravated Assault

BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) — A Brookville man serving time in state prison for corruption of minors and possession of child pornography, was recently sentenced after he pleaded guilty to aggravated assault.

Tyler Courson, 20, of Brookvile, pleaded guilty February 15 to one count of aggravated assault. His sentence was 9 months to 5 years. It will be served concurrently with his other sentences.

Courson remains lodged in the state prison in Somerset County.

According to police, 18-year-old Tyler Lee Courson, of Brookville, allegedly engaged in sexually explicit communications with a 15-year-old girl between October 2015 and January 2016.

Police say the communications involved nude photographs allegedly sent via text message.

The communications culminated when Courson allegedly engaged in sexual intercourse with the juvenile at a residence in Punxsutawney Borough, according to police.
