According to a criminal complaint, on August 30, Punxsutawney-based State Police responded to a residence on Pleasant Hill Road in Knox Township, Jefferson County, for a report of a domestic incident.

At the scene, police found a known male victim across the road from the residence with a bloody nose and blood on his chest and face, as well as scratch marks on both sides of his neck, the complaint indicates.

The victim told police that he and his girlfriend, Alisa Joy Young, were arguing after she woke him up to help her find her phone. He then went outside and called 9-1-1, the complaint states.

Police then spoke to Young about the incident.

According to the complaint, Young stated that she thought the victim had her phone, so she woke him up and then asked him to help her find it. Then, she and the victim began to argue, and he held her down, and she kicked him in the nose to get him off of her. She told police she then grabbed a knife from the kitchen counter and told the victim that if he touched her again, she would stab him. She stated he then went upstairs because their daughter was crying, and he put the child back to sleep, and then he went outside.

Young was arraigned in front of Magisterial District Judge Gregory M. Bazylak at 8:35 a.m. on Sunday, August 30.

She is currently free on $30,000.00 unsecured bail.
