Brookville Woman Uninjured Following ‘Barrel Roll’ Crash

State PoliceWARSAW TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – DuBois-based State Police report a Brookville woman escaped injury in a “barrel roll” crash in Warsaw Township, Jefferson County.

Police report the 10:20 a.m. August 30 crash occurred when a 2004 Honda Accord operated by Sarah W. Rossey, 31, of Brookville, was traveling west along Moore Bridge Road.

Rossey apparently lost control of the vehicle on the wet roadway surface while rounding a left curve, and the vehicle rotated about 90 degrees in a forward counter clockwise motion, crossing the opposite lane of travel before striking an embankment, police say.

The vehicle continued travling up the embankment, then “barrel rolled” along the embankment before coming to rest in the eastbound lane in an upright position.

The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was removed from the scene by Bailey’s Towing.

Rossey was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.
