C-L’s Newcomb and Smith Named PA Football Writers All-State in Class 1A

HARRISBURG, Pa. (D9Sports) – Clarion-Limestone’s Austin Newcomb and Ben Smith were named to the Pennsylvania Football Writers Class 1A All-State team Friday.

Newcomb, who set the District 9 single-season rushing record this season, is named as a running back, while Smith is named as an offensive lineman.

The selection of Newcomb and Smith bring the total number of District 9 All-State football players to eight after six were named in Classes 2A and 4A Thursday.
