Calvin Dickey obitCalvin Maurice Dickey, age 82, of DuBois PA, passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2016, at Christ the King Manor in DuBois PA.

He was born on June 19, 1933, to the late Harry and Blanche (Wayland) Dickey, in Reynoldsville PA. On August 29, 1958, he married Shirley (Moore) Dickey in Emerickville, PA. Shirley survives him.

Calvin worked as a dairy farmer for most of his life and he was a member of the Emerickville United Methodist Church. He honorably served his country as a member of the United States Army.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by 2 daughters, Denise (Chris) Shreve of Cochranton, PA; Darlene (Scott) Steinbach of Atlanta, GA; 4 sisters, Maxine Swab of Hendersonville, TN; Zelma Smith of Reynoldsville, PA; Blanche Weary of Brookville, PA; Doris Biggie of Reynoldsville, PA; 1 brother, Harold Dickey of Brookville, PA; 2 grandsons, Zachary (Samantha) Keller, and Shane Keller; 1 great-grandson, Chase Keller.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by 1 son, Jeffrey Dickey, and 1 granddaughter, Jessica Keller.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, April 3, 2016, from 3-6pm at the McKinney – d’Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Brookville PA, 15825.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 4, 2016, also at the McKinney – d’Argy Funeral Home, beginning at 11:00am and officiated by the Rev. Chuck Jack. Interment will take place at the Butler Cemetery in Pine Creek Twp., Jefferson Co., PA. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Emerickville United Methodist Church, 13345 Rt. 322, Brookville PA, 15825, or to the Hormtown Community Center, Reynoldsville PA.
