Candlelight Vigil Held In Brookville

BROOKVILLE, Pa – On a chilly Tuesday night, many Brookville residents gathered at the steps of the Jefferson County Courthouse to pay their respects to Devan Knapp, the 19 year old who was found dead in her car on Tuesday morning.

“I got the news at work today and I’m devastated obviously,” said Derac Shaffer, who knew Knapp since he was younger.

Tuesday night, Shaffer, along with many others, held a candlelight vigil which was started through Facebook in honor of Knapp. Shaffer, went to school with her and often hung out with her outside of the classroom. Which is why hearing the news today, really tore him up.
