Car Strikes Horse on Route 310; Driver, Passenger Escape Injuries

car-accident-graphic-5254_jpg_475x310_q85-300x225MCCALMONT TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, a one-car accident occurred on State Route 310, near Buck Run Road, in McCalmont Township, Jefferson County.

Police say around 9:44 p.m. on November 14, 64-year-old Nancy L. Hicks, of Rochester Mills, was traveling south on SR 310 and struck a horse that was on the roadway.

Hicks and a passenger, 68-year-old Donald P. Hicks, also of Rochester Mills, were using seat belts and were not injured.

Hicks’ 2002 Honda Accord sustained heavy front end and windshield damage.

It was towed from the scene by Southside Towing.
