Carl E. Harkleroad, 91, of Mahaffey, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2015, at Mulberry Square Eldercare & Rehabilitation Center.
Mr. Harkleroad was born on Oct. 30, 1923, in Mahaffey, a son of the late William and Ada Blanche (Pierce) Harkleroad.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda S. (Gregg) Harkleroad of Mahaffey.
Carl loved farming and his garden.
In addition to his wife, Linda, he is survived by his sons, Christopher Harkleroad of Hampton, Virignia, and Alan Harkleroad of Mahaffey; daughters Libby Barnette and husband Gene of Dayton and Miranda “Mandy’ Harkleroad of Punxsutawney; sister Bertha Mae Deahl of Punxsutawney; grandchildren Haley Sturgeon and Ashlyn Harkleroad, both of Mahaffey and Tucker Harkleroad-Peace of Punxsutawney; and several nieces and nephews.
At Mr. Harkleroad’s request, there will be no public viewing. A memorial service will be held at the family’s convenience.
