Carol Ann (Bowser) Sharpe, 78, of Brookville, PA, passed away during the early morning hours of Wednesday, October 25, 2023, surrounded by family at her home.
She was born on January 11, 1945, to the late Ernest Arthur and Yvonne Agnes (Strouse) Bowser in Emerickville, PA.
After graduating high school, Carol went on to work as a seamstress for thirty years.
Carol married Harry Thomas Sharpe in December of 2008; Harry survives her.
She was Methodist by faith and enjoyed attending church events whenever her health would allow.
In addition to being a seamstress, Carol enjoyed doing arts and crafts and completed an endless number of projects.
She was also a “professional” bingo player who attended every week with her great friend, Sally.
Carol loved the area she called home and specifically enjoyed running around on her green four wheeler.
She was a kind woman who was a friend to everybody and had endless amounts of love for her family.
Carol was especially proud of her children and grandchildren.
She will be dearly missed by many.
In addition to her husband, Carol is survived by three children; Michelle “Mickey” (Boyd) McCauley; Marsha Wells; Michael Binney; four grandchildren; Clayton Moneymaker; Tiffany Moneymaker; Boyd McCauley Jr.; Amber Binney; and 8 great grandchildren; Alaina McCauley; Silas McCauley; Beau McCauley; Hayleigh Moneymaker; Annabella Moneymaker; Aleyah Moneymaker; Aiyana Moneymaker; and Justin Shifflett.
In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in passing by one brother; Ernest “Beau” Bowser; one infant son; her first husband; Michael Binney; and her second husband; William “Bill” Hall.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, from 11am to 1pm at the McKinney – d’Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Brookville, PA 15825.
A funeral service will take place immediately following the visitation, beginning at 1pm and officiated by Pastor Gary Sheesley.
Interment will take place Emerickville Methodist (Moore) Cemetery, Emerickville, Jefferson Co., PA.
