Carol R. Schaffron of Juneau, PA went home to the Lord on March, 30, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.
Carol was born at home on February 17, 1949 in Rochester Mills, PA to parents John and Ruth (Johns) Leasure.
On June 28, 1969 she married her love, D.A. Schaffron, with whom she enjoyed 54 years together.
They created Carols Carpet World together, where she worked for many years.
She was also a great cook, homemaker, wife and mother, who will be sadly missed by her husband and her children.
In addition to her husband, D.A. Schaffron (Juneau, PA), Carol is survived by her son, Shawn (Kim) Schaffron (Rossiter, PA) and her daughter, Toni Schaffron (Indiana, PA) and her siblings: Sue Walker and Russ Fleming (Indiana, PA), Beverly (Joe) Delessio (Rochester Mills, PA), Dave (Linda) Leasure (North Carolina), Dan (Pattie) Leasure (Rochester Mills, PA), and Annette (Jay) Getch (Juneau, PA), and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Brother-in-laws: William Walker (Indiana, PA) and Bernie Winebark (Rochester Mills, PA) and Bradley Ophaug (Indiana, PA) and Mother-in-law, Nelda Shields (Juneau, PA).
Special thanks to Nancy Kessler for taking special care of Carol.
Respectfully honoring Carol’s wishes, there will be no services.
Arrangements have been entrusted to McCabe Funeral Home, 114 Maple Avenue, Punxsutawney, PA.
