CLARION, Pa. (EYT) – Hemporia, a new CBD retail store, will be holding its grand opening from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 17, at the 800 Center on Main Street in Clarion.
Hemporia will be a “CBD Superstore” that will be run in conjunction with the CBD product brand CBD Hive, which was started in early 2018.
Cannabidiol or CBD is a naturally occurring compound found in the cannabis plant. It is one of the many cannabinoids derived from the cannabis plant. Cannabinoids are chemicals that interact with cannabinoid receptors in the human body.
The use of CBD is relatively new as science just discovered an endocannabinoid system in our body back in the 1990s.
Research on the effects of cannabinoids has found that THC and CBD work with CB1 and CB2 receptors in the human body.
CB2 receptors, which are more concentrated in the digestive system – though they’re also located throughout the body – react to CBD and CBD helps rejuvenate, repair, and regrow those cells.
The way it works is by keeping your body in homeostasis (the tendency toward a relatively stable equilibrium between interdependent elements, especially as maintained by physiological processes) and keeping everything working and balanced. Inflammation, stress, and anxiety are the most common issues people use CBD for.
CBD Hive was already marketing their products online, as well as supplying a number of stores, including stores in Europe, when it also decided to begin opening up its own retail outlets. Because people often have many questions about CBD, including which products work best for their ailments or pain, how often it can be taken, what dosage is best, and how it is distributed throughout through the body, it’s easier to answer those from a storefront than online.
With that in mind, there will be seminars held at the store. More information about the seminars and when they will be offered will be available in the coming weeks, following the opening of Hemporia.
In terms of products, Hemporia will offer a wide variety of items, with 80 percent of the products in the store coming directly from CBD Hive and some other products outsourced to partner companies for some of the products that it doesn’t make, like the pet stuff.
The products available will include tinctures, the most popular form of CBD, in multiple flavors, as well as gelcaps, and gummies. They will also carry a full range of cosmetic and spa items, including soaking salts, bath bombs, massage oil, and more, as well as muscle and joint creams and gels, patches, pet products, candies, coffee, tea, and gum.
The store will also carry Kratom, a herb that has gained some popularity in conjunction with CBD.
During Hempporia’s grand opening on Saturday, there will be a $10.00 discount off any purchase of $50.00 or more and the first 25 customers will receive a special gift bag. C93 Radio will also be doing a live remote broadcast from the store from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with amusement park ticket giveaways.
Along with the special discount for the grand opening, Hemporia is also offering some special permanent discounts.
A 10 percent discount will be available to active duty and military veterans, first responders, and senior citizens and a five percent discount will be available to students with a valid student ID.
Following the grand opening, Hemporia’s regular hours will be from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
