Clarion Grappler Notches Top Seed as MAC Announces Pre-Seeds for 2024 Wrestling Championships

CLEVELAND, OH — The Mid-American Conference (MAC) announced the pre-seeds for the upcoming (March 8-9) 2024 MAC Wrestling Championships on Tuesday.

The event will be hosted by Kent State at the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center in Kent, Ohio.

Clarion has seven wrestlers in the initial pre-seeds.

Cam Pine leads the way as the top seed at 184 pounds.

The senior went undefeated in MAC matches this year, posting a 9-0 record in conference duals.

Joey Fischer checks in as the next highest seed, clocking in at fourth at 125 pounds, while Alejandro Herrera-Rondon, John Worthing and John Meyers are seeded fifth at 157, 174 and 285 pounds, respectively.

Rounding out the pre-seeds for the Golden Eagles are Ryan Sullivan and Eli Brinsky. Sullivan enters the weekend with the sixth seed at 141 pounds, while Brinsky checks in at seventh at 165 pounds.
