The Golden Eagles (0-6) will play an exhibition this weekend before returning to action in Florida the week after.

The Clarion offense was led by Makenzie Wolfe, who went 1-of-3 with a two-run homer in the first game and recorded the team’s only hit in the afternoon game against Southern New Hampshire. Wolfe has now homered twice in the last three games. Jessica Cartiaalso added another RBI, giving Clarion a 1-0 lead against the Dolphins in the top of the first inning.

Macy Rubin (0-3) took the loss in the first game, throwing 5.0 innings and allowing five runs on 14 hits. Chelsea Liroff (0-1) threw one shutout inning of relief and then started the second game of the day against the Penwomen, taking the loss after Southern New Hampshire enjoyed a big first inning.

Le Moyne took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the first inning and then added two more runs in the second to make it a 4-1 advantage. The lead reached 5-1 before the Golden Eagles put a two-out rally on in the seventh, starting with Rebecca Kelley reaching on an error by the third basemen. Wolfe crushed a pitch over the fence to make it 5-3, but Brooke Cline grounded out to end the inning.

Wolfe was the only batter to record a hit in the game against Southern New Hampshire, knocking a single in the second inning. The Penwomen were strong the rest of the way out, building a big lead and ending the game after the fifth inning.
