Competing in a field largely comprised of Division I athletes, Carver authored the best 800m of her collegiate career.

She took 26th in the field with a time of 2:13.65, carving off more than three seconds off her previous PR of 2:16.49 set last season at the PSAC Championships.

Carver’s time allowed her to jump a spot on the all-time performance list. She swaps spots with Maureen Long, who had previously been in second place in the 800m with a time of 2:15.7. The program’s record in the outdoor 800m is 2:12.0, set by Molly Smathers in 2009.

Entering this weekend, Carver ranked third in the Atlantic Region in the 800m, with her time of 2:17.20 set at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational. Her performance on Sunday would rank as the new top mark in the Atlantic Region, topping Concord’s Emily Wallace and her time of 2:17.15.
