Clark D. Miller Sr.

Clark D. Miller Sr., 77, of 717 Main St., Brockway, died Tuesday morning, Feb. 28, 2017 at Penn Highlands DuBois following a short illness.

He was born Nov. 22, 1939 in Brockway, son of the late John E. and Anna Mae Clark Miller. On Nov. 20, 1960 in Randolph, New York, he married Beverly Thiry and she survives.

Clark resided in Brockway for the past several years and had formerly lived in DuBois, Kersey, Ridgway, Buffalo, New York, Pittsburgh and Houston, Texas.

He attended school in Kersey. He was a wonderful provider and loved his family very much. He loved John Wayne movies and NASCAR. He enjoyed the outdoors while hunting and fishing. He had been employed as a construction mechanic for Brown and Root and traveled all over the country for 35 years before retiring in 1998. He spent a short time from 1991 to 1993 as a forklift operator for ECI during the paper mill expansion.

In addition to his wife at home, he is survived by two sons, Clark D. Miller Jr. and his wife Barbara of Ridgway and Scott A. Miller of Brockport; three daughters, Laurie J., Mrs. David Davison of Ridgway, Jana A. Miller of Johnsonburg and Donna Lee, Mrs. Robert Dixon of Beaver Falls; 13 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son in infancy, John E. Miller; a grandson, Robert C. Reeves; and three brothers, John, James and Arnold Miller.

A funeral service for Clark D. Miller Sr. will be held Monday, March 6 at 11 a.m. at the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home, 401 Chestnut St., Johnsonburg. Officiating will be Pastor Victor Baxter of the Lighthouse Community Church, Brockway. Interment will be in Clermont Cemetery.

Friends were received at the funeral home last Sunday on March 5 from 6-8 p.m.
