Clearfield Man Charged with Counterfeit Documents Following Traffic Stop

BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – Brookville Police are filing a Criminal Complaint for counterfeit documents against a Clearfield man following a traffic stop on Allegheny Boulevard, in Brookville, Jefferson County.

According to police, on September 3, a 22-year-old Clearfield man was stopped for an alleged traffic offense, and through the course of the investigation, it was discovered that he had attached a validation sticker to his registration plate to make it appear to be valid when it was expired and suspended.

The registration plate was seized and charges of altered, forged, or counterfeit documents and plates along with seven other traffic offenses are being filed against the man.

The name of the suspect was not provided.
