The two-day, auction extravaganza is open to the public.

“Over the course of this two-day event there will be plenty of opportunities for members of the public to add a much-needed piece of equipment to their business or a quality vehicle to their household,” said Pennsylvania Department of General Services Secretary Curt Topper.

The heavy equipment portion of the auction will begin on Wednesday, September 5 at 9:00 a.m. Among the items up for bid are excavators, dump trucks, paving rollers, snow plows, stone chippers, wheel and backhoe loaders, lights, mowers and more. To bid on the available equipment, users must be registered. Pre-registration and the ability to post bids online begin August 22, and in-person inspections and registrations will be held on September 3 and 4 at the Farm Show Complex. During that same time, interested buyers can also preview the vehicles that will be onsite. The heavy equipment auction will be simulcast allowing online and in-person participants to bid against each other in real time.

The commonwealth vehicle portion of the auction will begin on September 6 at 10:00 a.m. Available vehicles will include sedans, SUVs, pick-up trucks, minivans from Commonwealth agencies, state police PennDOT, PA turnpike and Law enforcement seized vehicles. Individuals interested in participating in the vehicle auction can pre-register at the Farm Show Complex on September 4 and 5 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day. During that same time, items can be previewed in-person. Registration can also be done the morning of the auction at 8:00 a.m. on September 6.

All revenue generated by the auction is either returned to the General Fund or to the selling agency.
