CLARION TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Clarion County Coroner Randall Stom says the death of a man early Saturday morning in Clarion Township has been ruled suicide following an autopsy Monday in Erie.
According to Clarion County Coroner Randall Stom, the incident occurred just outside the Borough of Clarion, in Clarion Township, at a residence along Route 322.
Stom said the man was pronounced deceased at 3:55 a.m. on Saturday, February 16.
The deceased has been been identified as a 36-year-old Clarion man.
Stom said the man died of a self-inflicted knife wound.
Although the autopsy revealed the manner of death was a suicide, Clarion-based State Police said their investigation is ongoing.
A state police representative said a release is expected to be issued soon.
The name of the man will not be released at this time due to the nature of the incident.
