Corsica Fourth of July Celebration Kicks Off Saturday

CORSICA, Pa. (EYT) – Corsica’s Fourth of July events kick off this weekend with the Fiery 5K and continue until fireworks wrap it up on Independence Day.

The 5K race starts at 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 30. Sunday’s schedule starts with a Chicken Barbecue at 11 a.m. The Knights Cruisers Car Show comes to town at 1 p.m. followed by a corn hole tournament at 2 p.m. A vesper service and an ice cream social rounds out the weekend.

The barbecue is $8 for adults and $4 for kids and it’s $20 per team to enter the corn hole tournament.

Fourth of July Eve has lawn tractor races and power pulls before the main event kicks off July 4.

The parade is at 10:30 a.m. Then the band Phoenix Rising takes the stage at 5 p.m. At 7 p.m., pies and cakes will be auctioned off before the fireworks fill the sky at 10 p.m. Kids’ games and food stands are open after 5 p.m. on July 3 and all day July 4.
