Crash in Brookville Leads to Charges Against Driver

BROOKVILLE BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) – Police say a crash that occurred on Wednesday in Brookville led to charges against the driver who allegedly operated the involved vehicle without the owner’s permission.

Around 5:00 p.m. on December 16, Brookville Borough Police were dispatched to a one-vehicle accident in the area of 6th Street.

Police say the driver of the vehicle lost control of the vehicle and struck an embankment. The vehicle was towed from the scene due to severe front end damage.

According to police, during the investigation into the accident, it was discovered that the vehicle had been operated without the permission of the owner.

Police say charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and driving at a safe speed are pending against the driver through District Court 54-3-03.

The name of the driver was not released.
