CUP Men’s Golf Ninth at Oglebay Intercollegiate Invite

OGLEBAY, W. Va. – The Clarion University men’s golf team took ninth overall at the Oglebay Intercollegiate Monday afternoon with a final team score of 595 (+27). The Blue and Gold will tee off next at the Cecil Spadafora Invitational in Indiana, Pa. on April 16th.

Sean Edgar continued his excellent pace from the first day of play to finish tied for 11th overall in the individual standings with a three-round score of 144 (+2). Edgar managed to shave four strokes off of his first round mark of 74 and finish with a 70 on day two.

Loren Dukate ended day two narrowly trailing Edgar with a final score of 149, putting him in a tie for 27th overall in the final standings. Like Dukate, Edgar also managed to improve on his first round of the tournament, shooting a 73 on Sunday after a 76 on Saturday. Nathan Sandberg finished just a stroke behind tied for 30th overall with a two-day score of 150.

Mitch Faulkner carded a 75 and 72 for a final mark of 152, tied for 39th overall. Cameron Kockler and Logan Reed finished things off for CU with scores of 164 and 167, good enough for shares of 69th and 74th, respectively.
