BROOKVILLE, Pa. – Sources say some of the Brookville victims of a recent bank card scam have discovered where their cards were compromised.
It was discovered that two victims of the scam used their debit cards at the same Dairy Queen in Brookville.
On Friday, Dairy Queen released a statement acknowledging there had been a security breach within their card-reading system.
The company further explained that it is believed the breach is a result of an issue with the third-party card-readers they use.
Police say Dairy Queen is not the only company dealing with the problem and that consumers should be cautious of how they make purchases.
