David Patrick Buffone, age 50, of DuBois, died on Friday, June 24, 2016, as a result of injuries he sustained from being hit by a motor vehicle.
He was born on October 19, 1965, in Johnstown, Pa., the son of the late David A.and Judith (Cobes) Buffone.
He was a graduate of DuBois Area High school and Clarion University.
David was an avid jeep enthusiast who loved the outdoors, off-roading, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and anything Army-related.
He is survived by three sisters: Beth A. Buffone of Keyser, W. Va., Lorri D. (Richard) Starr of Brockway, Pa., Paige M. Buffone of Moon Township, Pa. and a sister-in-law Michelle Smith of DuBois, Pa.; one brother: Edward A. Buffone of Portland, Ore.; his maternal grandmother, Ruth (Beyers) Cobes of Zephyr Hills, Fla.; an uncle, Louis Buffone (Margaret) of Brockway/Florida; an aunt, Cathy Dennis of Lewisburg, Pa.; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Brad Smith; his paternal grandparents; maternal grandfather.
Friends will be received at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral home from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday, July 2, 2016.
At 11:00 a.m., a memorial service will be officiated by Pastor Dick Whitaker also at the funeral home.
Interment will then take place immediately following, at St. Tobias Cemetery in Brockway, Pa.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Kidney Foundation.
