Dead Deer Causes One-Vehicle Accident in Jefferson County

PINECREEK TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT)– Punxsutawney-based State Police report a one-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 11:03 p.m. on July 26, on Route 322, in Pinecreek Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, the incident occurred as Michael J. Young, 35, of Smethport, Pa., was traveling on Rt. 322 in a 2013 Nissan Maxima.

Police say at approximately 689 feet east of Bee Lane, Young drove over a dead deer. The vehicle was damaged and unable to be driven.

Young and passenger, Samantha A. Young, 21, also of Smethport, were both using seat belts and were uninjured in the crash.
