Delores Rupert Wyant Hurst, age 79 of Route 28 Brockway, PA; died on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at her residence.
Born in Ford Cliff, PA on February 28, 1937 she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Aida Miller Rupert. Delores was married to John R. Wyant and he preceded her in death in November of 1997. She then married Allen Hurst on March 10, 2001 and he survives.
Retired, she had been employed at Kohlepp’s True Value in DuBois as a clerk. Delores was a member of the Lanes Mills United Methodist Church. She loved to sew, read and participate at exercise class.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by 2 sons: Don Klingensmith and Paul Wyant both of DuBois; 2 brothers: Donald ( Jean ) Rupert of Medway, Ohio and Harry Rupert of Pulaski, PA; 3 grandsons: Andrew and Jason Wyant and Don Klingensmith Jr; 2 granddaughters: Angela Thomas and Jennifer Buganza. She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren, 9 step grandchildren and numerous step great grandchildren.
She is also preceded in death by a sister: Ethel Jane “Sis” Baker.
Calling hours will be on Monday, March 7 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway, PA. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 8 at 11:00 AM at the Lanes Mills United Methodist Church, with Pastor Bob Trask officiating. Burial will follow in the Ford City Cemetery.
