Dennis Lee Minich

Dennis Lee Minich, 57, of Reynoldsville, died on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, after a short illness.

He was born May 31, 1957 in Kittanning, a son of the late George Walter Minich and Marie (Shepler) Minich. She survives and resides in Reynoldsville.

Dennis was a graduate of Redbank Valley High School in New Bethlehem, Pa.

On August 23, 1980, he married the former Cheryl Ann Watkins. She survives and resides in Reynoldsville.

Mr. Minich was a lifetime member of the Big Run Volunteer Fire Company and was a leader of the
Jefferson County 4H Livestock Club for many years.

Dennis had been employed by Symmco in Sykesville.

He enjoyed farming, hunting, gun raffles and watching Jeopardy on T.V.

In addition to his wife Cheryl and mother Marie, he is survived by two children, a daughter Natasha Thompson and husband Jason of Brockway; and a son Matthew Minich of Reynoldsville; one brother,
Thomas Minich and wife Joann of Fairmount City; and two nephews, Nathan Minich of Punxsutawney; and Mitchell Minich of Brookville.

Mr. Minich was preceded in death by his father.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Saturday, August 9, 2014 at the Brenda D. Shumaker Funeral Home., Inc., in Big Run.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 10, 2014 at the funeral home officiated by
Joe Buterbaugh.

Interment will follow at Davis Cemetery.
