Diane Perry (Levy)

diane-perryDiane Levy Perry, 81, of Emmaus, died at home on Sunday, December 11, 2016, from complications of dementia.

Her husband, William H. Perry died in 2011. The couple shared more than 50 years of marriage together until his death. Born in Reynoldsville, PA she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Julia (Redding) Levy. Diane earned her Master’s Degree in Human Relations from Ohio State University in 1961, received her Bachelor’s Degree from Westminster College, Class of ’57 and Graduated from Punxsutawney High School, Class of ’53.

Diane stayed home to raise two sons, Bill and Dave, who she taught kindness, the joy of learning, and to view the world with an ongoing sense of wonder. After raising her sons, Diane had a long career in private practice psychology, and was always pleased to help others. She was Certified as a Clinical Member of the International Transactional Analyst Society.

Always fond of children, she loved spending time with her grandchildren later in life. She liked flowers and working in her garden, and loved anything that would soothe a sweet tooth. Even as her dementia took her abilities, her smile was quick and could light up a room. She enjoyed a great group of friends and was active in Faith Presbyterian Church, Emmaus for many years.
