Donald “Bud” Williams

Donald “Bud” Williams, 78, of Punxsutawney, died Saturday, March 5, 2022 at UPMC Mercy Hospital following an illness.

Born February 29, 1944 in Youngstown, Ohio, he was the son of the late Richard and Lois Lovelace Williams.

He was a graduate of Punxsutawney High School and retired after 26 years with the Punxsutawney Borough Municipal Authority.

He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, gardening, bike riding and time spent with his grandchildren.

Those surviving him are his son, Troy (Tammy) Williams, of Punxsutawney; his daughter, Sheila Jefferson, of Middletown; his sister, Janice Means, of Valier; and his grandchildren, Dustin (Brandy Conners) Williams, of Monroeville, Megan Williams, of Punxsutawney, Terrance Jefferson and Alexis Jefferson, both of Middletown.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Terry Jefferson.

Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville, Pa. has been entrusted with the final arrangements for Mr. Williams.

As per his wishes there will be no services held.
