Donald L. Beckwith

donald-beckwithDonald L. Beckwith, 82, of Frogtown, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at the McKinley Health Center in Brookville.

He was born on December 16, 1933 in Scotch Hill; son of the late John E. and Ethel Knepshield Beckwith.

Donald married Donna Clinger on June 21, 1957, and she survives.

He worked for S & J Groves Contraction doing road construction and various other jobs throughout his life, last working for Charles Machine as a Truck Driver.

Donald was a member of the Nevin Memorial United Church of Christ in Frogtown, where he was a consistory member.

In his younger years, he enjoyed playing baseball and bowling. He also enjoyed watching baseball and watching other sports on TV, and mowing grass.

Donald is survived by his wife, one son, Joby Beckwith and his wife Linda of Limestone, and a brother, Carl Beckwith of Clarion.

He is also survived by a sister-in-law, Jean Myers of Clarion, a brother-in-law, Joe McClaine of Elk City, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Donald is preceded in death by his parents, five sisters, Melva Watkins, Mary McClaine, Jean Graham, Vivian Beckwith, and Doris Baker, and two brothers, Joe and Merle Beckwith.

The family would like to thank the staff at Laurel Brook Landing and also the staff at the Brookville Hospital for their care.

The Robert V. Burns Funeral Home in Clarion is handling arrangements.

Services will be held at a later date.

Interment will be held at the Salem Cemetery in Frogtown.
