Donald R. “Duck” Steudler, 74, of St. Marys, PA, and formerly of Johnsonburg, PA, died Saturday, December 19, 2020, at Penn Highlands Elk, St. Marys, PA. He was born on July 24, 1946, in Wilcox, PA, the son of the late Bernard and Florence (Santo) Steudler.

Donald worked at various factories over the years including Stackpole Magnetics in Kane, PA, and Magnet Applications, Inc., DuBois, PA. He was loved by many friends and family as he had a heart of gold, a wonderful work ethic, always a positive attitude and a great sense of humor. He is survived by his dear friend, Robert (Kay) Fredette, of DuBois, PA; his brother, Frank (Connie) Steudler, of Johnsonburg; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Daniel Steudler; and his two sisters, Mabel Engman and Sue Bullers.

Considering these unprecedented times with COVID-19, there will no visitation.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held, 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church of Johnsonburg with Father David Wilson.

Interment will take place, next to his parents, in the Wilcox Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations may be made to The Helping Hand Food Pantry, 409 Center Street, Johnsonburg, PA 15845, or the Johnsonburg Community Trust, PO Box 43, Johnsonburg, PA 15845.

The Ubel Funeral Home has been entrusted with final arrangements and the family will be accepting online condolences at www.nedzafamilyfuneralhomes.com.
