Donald Wilbert Raybuck

Member_137282Donald Wilbert Raybuck, 65, of Sharon died Wednesday, August 6, 2014 peacefully at Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot, PA. He will be missed by family and friends, but found peace with the Lord as he departed following his battle with cancer.

He was born on June 14, 1949 in Punxsutawney, a son of the late Wilbert Henry Raybuck and Ellen Elsie (Bailey) Raybuck. She survives and resides in Brookville.

Don attended a one room school in Conifer, PA, and later graduated from Brookville High School in 1967. He studied at Pittsburgh Technical Institute for electronics repair.

In 1970, during the Vietnam War, he was drafted by the United States Army and served as a military police.

Don eventually settled in Sharpsville, PA where he worked for Cattron Communications, then worked part time as a distributor for “I.M. Good Snacks” to convenience stores. He loved traveling up and down the ShanangoValley and could be found delivering to his customers all times of the day and night.
He enjoyed long conversations with his friends in the valley.

Donald loved his children, Jason Raybuck and Ashley Wilson, and especially enjoyed visits with his grandchildren, Courtney and Angelo. He thoroughly enjoyed yearly Christmas with his entire family at the Raybuck farm in Pansy Hollow.

In addition to his mother and children, he is survived by two grandchildren, Courtney and Angelo; one brother, Kenneth (Karen) Raybuck of Butler, one sister, Janet (Jack) McBride of North Wildwood, NJ; three nephews, Aaron and Ben Raybuck, and Sean McBride, and one neice, Sarah McBride.

Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until noon Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Brenda D. Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Brookville.

A funeral service will be held at noon on Saturday, officiated by Pastor Jim Steingass.

Interment will follow at Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery, Beaver Twp., Jefferson County.

Memorial donations may be made in Don’s memory to Good Samaritan Hospice, 134 Marwood Road, Cabot, PA 16023.
