Donna G. Kinol

Donna G. Kinol, age 66, of Route 36 in Brookville PA, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday June 2, 2015.

She was born on February 23, 1949, in DuBois PA, to James A. and Alberta R. (McCool) Best, both of which precede her in death.

Donna married Dennis A. Kinol on June 28, 1975, in Sigel, PA, who survives her.

She worked in math education at both the elementary and college levels.

She was a member of the United Methodist Women; Zion United Methodist Church; National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM); Pennsylvania Council of Teachers of Mathematics (PCTM); former member and officer of Brookville Area Band Boosters.

She was involved in Girl Scouts and active in church affairs including sitting as the church pianist.

Donna is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Ann “Liz” (Jason) Valasek, of Cranberry Twp., PA; her sister Deanna R. (Carl W.) Mohney, of Sigel, PA; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Friday June 5, 2015, from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9pm, at McKinney Funeral Home, 345 Main St. Brookville PA, 15825.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday June 6, 2015, at Zion United Methodist Church, 1778 PA-36, Brookville PA, 15825, beginning at 11am with The Rev. Dale Livermore and The Rev. Gary Sheesley officiating.

Interment to take place at Mt. Tabor Cemetery, Eldred Twp., Jefferson County.
