Doris M. Martini

OI1543411387_DMartiniphoto-2Doris M. Martini age 95 of Meadow Street Brockway, PA; died on Monday, March 7, 2016 at her residence.

Born on April 12, 1920 in Brockway, she was the daughter of the late William and Lillian Pearson Mooney. Doris was married to Everett A. Kalgren in 1940 and he preceded her in death in 1957. She then married John Bulck in 1975, and he preceded her in death in 1982. Doris then married Ed Martini in 1989 and he preceded her in death in 2007.

She had been employed as an Executive Secretary at Brockway Glass until her retirement in 1986. Doris was a 1937 graduate of the Brockway High School and a 1959 graduate of the DuBois Business College. She loved her family, her friends, her faith and her home in Brockway. She also enjoyed the time she shared with her cat “Kit”. She was a member at St. Tobias Church in Brockway.

Doris is survived by a daughter: Linda (David) Finnegan of Quincy, MA; 2 sons: Todd (Carol) Kalgren of Brookville; Jim Kalgren of Brockway; 3 step-daughters: Judy (Joe) Gara of Philadelphia; Sue (Jeff) Frey of Duluth, MN; Cathy (Andy) Jacobs of Cincinnati, OH; 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren, 1 step great grandchild, 5 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She is also preceded in death by an infant daughter Mary Ann and 2 sisters: Ruth Buckley and Gloria Rumsey.

Calling hours will be on Wednesday, March 9 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 10 at 9:30 AM at St. Tobias Church in Brockway with Msgr. Charles Kaza presiding. Burial will follow in St. Tobias Cemetery.
