Downed Tree Causes Crash in Beaver Township

BEAVER TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Police say a downed tree in the roadway led to a crash Friday night in Beaver Township.

According to police, around 9:08 p.m. on Friday, July 19, 27-year-old Jacob D. Barr, of Summerville, was operating a 2005 Dodge 3500 RAM, traveling west on State Route 3005 just north of Ohl Road in Beaver Township.

Police say Barr was unable to avoid a fallen tree that was covering both lanes of the roadway. His vehicle traveled over the tree then traveled approximately 120 feet from the point of impact and came to a final rest facing southwest.

Barr was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured.
